This is Tim Raines's ninth appearance on a Hall-of-Fame ballot. In my 2013 Hall-of-Fame ballot series, I looked at Tim Raines's baserunning. For my 2014 Hall-of-Fame ballot series, I compared Raines to Hall-of-Famer Tony Gwynn. For the 2015 Hall-of-Fame ballot series, I compared Raines to another Hall-of-Famer, Paul Molitor.

This year, I look at Tim Raines's prime, 1981 - 1995. The next table shows the top 10 players in (context-neutral, teammate-adjusted) eWins over replacement level (eWORL).

Everybody in the above table is in the Hall of Merit and - setting aside the steroid issue - deserves to be in the Hall of Fame based purely on the statistical record.
