Vote Prediction
It is simply an honor for A.J. Burnett to appear on a Hall-of-Fame ballot.

Player Won-Lost Records and A.J. Burnett
A.J. Burnett broke in with the Florida Marlins, with whom he spent his first seven seasons. Unfortunately for him, he was injured and missed most of the Marlins' World Champion 2003 season. But he had seasons with 11, 12, and 12 wins as a Marlin and even led the National League in shutouts in 2002 (with 5).

The next table shows the top 10 players in Marlins history, ranked by eWins over replacement level, as a Marlin.

9Dontrelle Willis68.165.57.515.9
10J. Kevin Brown30.921.012.215.4

To be perfectly honest, Burnett's ranking here probably says as much about the Marlins' history as it says about Burnett's career. But still, A.J. Burnett was very good for a fairly long time and his career deserves to be remembered fondly by fans of the teams for whom he pitched.
