Heath Bell was named to three All-Star teams, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Heath Bell has 40 or more saves three times - the aforementioned 2009, 2010, and 2011. Bell led the National League in saves in 2009 with 42.

Heath Bell won the NL Rolaids Relief Man award in 2009 and 2010. He led the league with 42 saves in 2009. In 2010, he finished second in the NL with 47 saves while also posting a traditional won-lost record of 6-1 with a 1.93 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched.

Heath Bell succeeded Hall-of-Famer Trevor Hoffman as the San Diego Padres' closer. Bell's 47 saves in 2010 are the second-most in Padres history. Bell has three of the four highest single-season save totals in Padres history by pitchers other than Trevor Hoffman.

Bell's 134 career saves as a Padre are the second-most in team history. Bell is the only one of the top four relief pitchers in Padres history who is not in the Hall of Fame: Rollie Fingers and Goose Gossage are third and fourth with 108 and 83 saves, respectively.
